ANTARES assembles in a unique synergy the expertise of scientists and technicians of the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Pisa and the Institute for Informatics and Telematics of the Italian National Research Council, together with the strength of Internet domain registration and web-hosting leader Tuonome.it. This gives ANTARES the critical mass and competences to foster, lead, and participate into large-scale national and international networking projects; create, acquire and consolidate knowledge on the most innovative fields of ICT; transfer this knowledge to third parties (both in the industrial and academic environments).

ANTARES ACTIVITY AREAS

Research - We develop and coordinate national and international research projects, and joint ventures with universities, ICT industries, SMEs, public and private companies, related to the Next Generation Internet, and, more broadly, to the ICT strategic sector.

Consultancy- We provide technical and scientific support, in terms of competences and technologies, for public and private companies.

Dissemination - We promote the dissemination of scientific knowledge through national and international seminars and conferences on topics related to future networking technologies.

Training - We train young researchers (through fellowships, special collaborations, and research grants), and professionals (through advanced courses on Internet technologies).

Exploitation - We promote the industrial exploitation of the research results through patents and creation of spin-off enterprises
