“ANTARES: Association for NeTworking Advanced RESearch - società consortile a responsabilità limitata”, was established on 17 October 2007. ANTARES is a no-profit consortium that pursues study, research and technological transfer activities in the computer networking area. ANTARES’s has three founding members:

• the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of the Italian National Research Council,
• the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Pisa,
• the Tuonome.it S.r.l. Company.

ANTARES operations are overseen by a board of directors made up of:

• Luciano Lenzini (University of Pisa), President;
• Marco Conti (IIT-CNR);
• Gianluca Pellegrini (Tuonome S.r.l.).

The consortium has a Board of Auditors, made up of Members of the Registry of Auditors of the Italian Ministry of Justice:

• Massimiliano Farnesi, President;
• Pierluigi Colombani;
• Marcello Bellatalla.
